Pardee announced as presenting sponsor for The Park at Flat Rock event (June 10, 2015)

June 10, 2015, Flat Rock, NC -– Pardee UNC Healthcare recently announced that it will be the presenting sponsor for the 1st Annual Fall into Flat Rock 5K and Family Fun Day. The event, located at The Park at Flat Rock, will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2015.

The 5K race begins at 9:00 a.m. and takes place on the scenic park nature trail. A fun walk is also available. To register, visit active.com. (Tshirts included!!)

The Family Fun Day will begin at 10:30 and continue through 3:00 p.m. There is no admission charge. A variety of events and entertainment will include:

  • Tai Chi demonstrations
  • Mini Curb Market
  • Storytelling
  • Nature Walk
  • Junction 280 Band
  • Food, refreshments, and Italian Ice

Pardee is a not-for-profit community hospital founded in 1953 and is managed by UNC Health Care. The hospital is licensed for 222 acute care beds. The Flat Rock Park and Recreation Foundation Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2013 by the Village of Flat Rock, North Carolina, to help raise the funds required to fulfill the vision of a signature municipal park for the community. That vision includes opportunities for recreation, health, and education for all generations while preserving the natural beauty that draws visitors from far and wide to Western North Carolina.
