Flat Rock Village Council to hold town hall meeting on May 12 (May 2, 2022)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Flat Rock, North Carolina, May 2, 2022—The Flat Rock Village Council will hold a town hall meeting for the village community on Thursday, May 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
This will be the first of two town hall meetings that the Council plans to hold this year. While a variety of topics will be discussed, the focus of this meeting will be a conversation about the best use of the funds received by the Village through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021.
“We are still working on best practices as far as allocating funds for projects that the ARP enables us to undertake,” said Mayor Nick Weedman. “We want to hear from village residents on what areas they think will be important to support, and a town hall meeting is a good format for that discussion.”
The meeting will follow a format of brief introductions by village officials and then an extended time for attendees to provide input and ask questions on topics that are important to them. It will be held Thursday, May 12, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pinecrest Presbyterian Church (1790 Greenville Highway, on the corner of Greenville Highway and N. Highland Lake Road).
