Your property tax bill can be paid:

• In person at the Flat Rock Village Hall (110 Village Center Drive) during our regular hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• By mail to the Village of Flat Rock, P.O. Box 1288, Flat Rock, NC 28731
• Online

If you would like to pay your village property tax bill online using Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, or American Express, please note that there are associated fees:

• If you pay by ACH or e-check, there is a $1.95 convenience fee.
• If you pay by Visa personal debit card, there is a $3.95 convenience fee.
• The fee for all other debit and credit card payments will be approximately 2.95% of your total bill.

The Village’s property tax rate is $0.119 per $100 of property valuation. This is expected to bring in $1,591,591 for fiscal year 2023/2024.

The September 1 due date is required by North Carolina law. While due on that date, property owners have until January 5 of the following year to pay without any added fee or interest charge.

The total amount the Village is anticipated to collect in property taxes is $1,591,591 for FY 2023/2024.

The Village’s general fund budget for fiscal year 2023/2024 is $2,742,026.00. Of that, $1,585,106 covers our contracts with Blue Ridge Fire & Rescue, Valley Hill Fire & Rescue, and Green River Fire & Rescue, the three fire departments that service the Village.
